Hacking as a Service Hits the Mainstream

Hacker's List supposedly exists only to connect professional hackers with consumers who want to offer strictly legal jobs, but those who take that facade seriously probably could be counted on one hand. "Whoever is running this 'service' is aiding and abetting criminal solicitation, and anyone participating in these activities is breaking the law," maintained Sophos' Chester Wisniewski.

Report: Dumb Password Use on the Decline

"A lot of people use throwaway passwords, but where that becomes an issue is when people use those same passwords for their more sensitive logins," said Siber Systems' Rob Dinuzzo. If fewer websites demanded passwords, it could make it more convenient to create and remember passwords for websites that really needed them. That's unlikely to happen, however.
